The Journey to the Magic Kingdom

Okay so here was my plan: Get the last flight out on Friday night, which left around 8:30, beat most of the holiday traffic getting there, rent a car, get to our hotel about 1 am, sleep go to disneyland. Sounds simple enough right? Well the first few steps went off without a hitch. That is all of them up to rent a car. I went online to Hotwire and found the best price that I could, Hertz, no big deal.... that was until we arrived at the rental agency on Friday nigth at 12 midnight to a line of Disneyland proportions, as a matter of fact it was the longest line that we waited in all weekend long. How long you ask? Oh 2 and a half hours long..... that's right folks, we didn't leave the airport until almost 3 in the AM on Saturday morning. CRAZY! We finally made it to our hotel around 4 and after a breakfast at Denny's hit our pillows at about 5. My grand plan before the rental car fiasco was to be at the park when it opened at 8 am. Can we just say that didn't happen, with a 5 am bed time. We got up around 10 and hit the park about 11 so that wasn't too bad. The park was crowded but not terrible. We did the traditional first ride, which in my family is pirates of the carribean. Got our fastpasses for Indiana Jones, (if you don't know what a fast pass is and are planning a trip to disneyland, find out, they are wonderful!) Then went and ate the most expensive lunch of my life at the blue bayou. That is the restaraunt that sits inside the pirates of the carribean ride. Cool right? Well we were seated on the back wall in sort of a little corner where we could see nothing. Oh well, the food was alright, and now we can say we've been there. We did Splash Mountain, got soaked! But had a blast, then we headed over to the California park.... very fun! More later, too tired now :P

Three Cheers for Disneyland!

Hip Hip Hooray! We are leaving tommorrow night for a couple of days of fun in the happiest place on earth. I just realized that this is the first 'real' vacation we've taken since we have been married. We are going to eat at the restaraunt inside pirates of the carribean, and go and see the new indiana jones movie at the disney movie theatre, and of course we will be getting an in and out burger. Anyways, just wanted to share the joy! Mickey ears anyone?

I know, I know

Okay, the most terrible blogger in the world here. And now that Kj has officially labled me MIB (missing in blogland)(I was thinking Men in Black but that might just be me) I think that it is time to emerge from the shadows for some long overdue updates.
As Kj has informed you I am now working at World Vision. Their HQ's is in Federal Way. I am working on the HR help desk. Today was my second day, and so far, so good.
Other than that I have been busy getting ready for my little brother's wedding in August. Pink bridesmaid dresses with shoes dyed to match, oh boy! 4 showers, two fittings, and 6 trips to Portland, oh my, being a bridesmaid is more work than being the bride!
We will be headed to Disneyland a week from Friday so we are excited about that. It will be the first time that the two of us have gone together so that will be cool.

Handing Over the Keys

So it is done, I handed over my keys at Michael's last night. It is such a surreal feeling. I have always had a set of work keys, I feel like I have lost them.... I am so excited for Monday, kind of nervous, but mostly excited. Anyways just wanted to say hooray for last day at Michael's, and having only one set of keys to deal with.

Don't Stop Believing

Okay so after many, many weeks, a few interviews, and even more prayers it has happened. I have a new job! YAY! Feel free to sing along "Don't stop believing, hold on to that feeling" oh yeah.... oh wait you don't own Journey's greatest hits, oh never mind then. But seriously, no more retail, can you say hip hip HOORAY!!!!! Thanks to all of those who prayed with me through my search, and for all of your support. Kj thanks for all of the post interview baby/tea de-briefing sessions ;) I will miss our Tuesday afternoon teas.... alas, every weekend off and no nights are worth the sacrifice. I will update you on the goings on once I start the new job. Oh boy I may become a blogger yet. Woo Hoo! Sorry I am just so excited!!!!!!!!
